Talents who walk-in to open mic nights in a pub really expose their hearts and souls with their craft –be it in art, music, poetry or a combination of everything. All the band members of The Head and the Heart, namely Charity Rose Tielen, Chris Zasche, Kenny Hensley, Tyler Wilson, Josiah Johnson and Jonathan Russell, were brought and bound together by the same passion and craziness, so to speak, to follow their hearts and make music. Touring different parts of the Northwest region in the US served to hone their musicality, until they were ready to release their self-titled debut album in 2010. With the buzzword going around, they toured more US cities as well as some European circuits, and supported various bigger-named bands such as Vampire Weekend, Dr. Dog, Iron and Wine and Death Cab For Cutie. The band's indie-folk artistry has also graced popular television show sountracks in the likes of 'How I Met Your Mother', 'Down In The Valley,'Beaver Falls', among many others.
